If the cartridge isn’t used for long periods of time, it could cause the ink to dry out. In this case, install a new cartridge. If this is not the case, please follow the following steps for your printer type:
1. Remove the cartridge from the printer and wipe it very carefully around the chip with a clean, lint-free cloth.
2. Reinstall the cartridge and press firmly.
